Data Deletion

How to Request Deletion of Your Data

Truevail connects to your social media accounts so we can publish content on your behalf and report on how it performed. This page explains what we store and how to have it deleted.

What We Store

When you connect a social account to Truevail, we store:

  • Your account ID, display name, username, and profile picture
  • An encrypted access token that allows us to publish on your behalf
  • The posts we publish for you and the aggregate engagement figures reported by the platform, including followers, reach, impressions, and similar metrics
  • Public comments left on posts we published for you, including the commenter’s platform ID, display name, and comment text

We never receive or store your password. We do not read your private messages, and we do not collect information about individual followers beyond the aggregate information provided by the platform.

How to Request Deletion

Disconnect Your Account

Sign in to Truevail, open your account settings, find the connected social profile, and disconnect it.

This immediately revokes our access and stops further collection. Disconnecting your account does not delete records we have already stored. To have those records deleted, follow the instructions below.

Ask Us to Delete Your Stored Data

Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your Truevail account.

Use Data Deletion Request as the subject line and tell us which account or accounts you would like removed.

We will permanently delete the applicable records we hold and confirm the deletion by email within 30 days.

Remove Truevail From Facebook or Instagram

Facebook: Go to Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites. Select Truevail and choose Remove.

Instagram: Go to Settings → Website Permissions → Apps and Websites and remove Truevail.

Meta will notify us, and we will delete the associated records.

Checking on a Request

Reply to the confirmation email we send you, or email [email protected] with the date of your original request. We will provide an update on the status of your request.

If We Cannot Delete Something

In limited circumstances, we may be legally required to retain certain records, such as invoices or payment history required for tax or accounting purposes.

If any information covered by your request must be retained, we will tell you what we are keeping, why we are required to keep it, and how long it will be retained.

All other applicable information will be deleted.
